GNU Linux

Linux is the best OS to learn about computers and networks.
I think it is also the best OS to learn about security.
This well documented open source system can be modified, adapted and become whathever you want. A multimedia platform, a super-calculator, a router, a web server, a kiosk, a firewall, a cell-phone etc. Linux is the OS of millions of servers, PCs and other device throughout the world.
Most default Linux configuration are not secured enough but because it is open, you can configure it to become one of the most secured systems.
